Suggested activity
In small groups, students collect five social-media posts, three true and two false, and document evidence supporting their classification. The teacher publishes the posts anonymously in a shared online forum. Students then evaluate at least three posts created by classmates and classify them as true or false, explaining their reasoning. Finish with a group discussion about verification strategies, challenges, and common misinformation themes. The activity can additionally use AI-generated or manipulated images.
