Learners can reflect on their own values and perspectives, identify and discuss social inequalities and power relations, articulate their interests and opinions, practise democratic dialogue and negotiation, recognise opportunities for participation, and develop confidence in expressing and representing their positions.
Suggested activity
Adapt the “Ansichtssache” or “Würdest du lieber” method to an AI topic. Present learners with controversial statements such as “AI should be allowed to make important decisions about young people” or “AI makes society more equal”. Learners position themselves, explain their reasoning, listen to opposing perspectives and negotiate a shared position. Finish by asking what actions young people can take to influence how AI is used in their school, community or society.
