Modular media-education Actionkit with interactive exercises about TikTok use, digital wellbeing, hate speech, digital civic courage, misinformation, democracy and critical media consumption. It is designed for young people and can be used in schools, youth work and other educational settings.
Why it matters for ENACT-AI
Strong relevance to critical digital and media literacy, algorithms, platform influence, misinformation and audiovisual content. AI is not the central focus, so the AI-specific relevance is lower than its broader media-literacy relevance.
Learning outcomes
Learners reflect critically on their TikTok use, understand how algorithms and platform features can influence media consumption, identify and discuss hate speech and misinformation, develop strategies for digital civic courage, understand different responsibilities of users, platforms, politics and justice, and strengthen democratic and media-literacy skills.
Suggested activity
Select one or more exercises from the three modules. For example, start with “Eine Reflexion der FYP”, then discuss how algorithms shape what users see, followed by “Digitale Zivilcourage” to explore possible responses to hate speech. Finish with a group reflection on how young people, platforms and institutions share responsibility for democratic online spaces.
