Why it matters for ENACT-AI
AI and its ethical and societal implications are the central focus. The course encourages learners to understand AI systems, question how they are designed and used, identify potential benefits and harms, and consider issues such as bias, privacy, fairness and accountability. It therefore combines foundational AI literacy with critical thinking and ethical reflection.

Suggested activity
Complete the introductory interactive lesson, then ask learners to identify AI systems they encounter in everyday life and discuss one potential benefit and one potential harm for each. Finish by having groups formulate a principle for how AI should be designed or used responsibly.
