The AI Competency Framework for Teachers provides a global reference for developing teachers’ knowledge, skills and values for the responsible and effective use of AI in education. It covers human-centred approaches, AI ethics, AI foundations and applications, AI pedagogy, and AI for professional learning.
Why it matters for ENACT-AI
The framework directly supports AI literacy, critical thinking, ethical AI use, human agency and responsible integration of AI into education. It also emphasises protecting teachers' rights and promoting sustainable AI.

Suggested activity
AI Competency Self-Assessment:
Teachers review the five competency dimensions and assess their current level (Acquire, Deepen or Create). They then select one competency they want to develop and design a short action plan, such as evaluating an AI tool, creating an AI-supported learning activity or developing guidelines for responsible classroom use.
